Growing
Quick thanks to all that came to play last night. Glad to see lots of faces and four boards in at least partial action at once. As a reminder, there will be a tournament in Austin the last weekend of the month; if you want to play, register now. And if you have thoughts about improving what we have going on locally, feel free to share, or just take action!

Glad to see there is go in the area. Wednesdays don't work for me, but if you ever have any special events on other days (say Tuesdays or Thursdays) I would love to see what's going on. Do you know if there are any other groups, preferably out towards the East side, I'm actually in Stockdale- Kenneth.
ReplyDeleteIf you think you could make another day of the week regularly, I can ask whether the other more-frequent players are open to moving the meeting day. It's not unprecedented, as we originally met on Mondays. As for other groups in the area, I don't personally know of any out that way, but you could always check out a site called igolocal.net to see if there are other players out your way. Hope you can manage to sneak out here at least once in a while on a Wednesday, we'd love to play!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the response FoxFireX, unfortunately Wednesdays are pretty much a no go for me. I'm a minister and that's one night I'm pretty much guaranteed to be working :) Thanks for the link to igolocal.net.
ReplyDeleteUnderstand. :) Talked to the regulars tonight, and it's possible we might be able to shift our meeting night. Think about how often you'd be able to make it on various days and let me know so we can continue the discussions.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it would be worth it to move dates just for me. Even on Thursdays (which would work best) the most I would probably be able to make it is a couple times a month due to how far it would be for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm sending this because you've either expressed interest in the San Antonio Go Club in the past, or have marked yourself as a member on igolocal.net. (If I send this multiple times, sorry about that!) Currently our meetings are every Wednesday at 6:00 at the Dragon's Lair on Fredericksburg Road, but we're investigating moving to another day/time. If you think you would be interested in joining our weekly meetings, please let me know what day of the week would work best for you. I'll look over the responses and see if we can move things to a better time for everyone interested. Alternate locations are also possible, but may require more work. I look forward to hearing from anyone who'd like to come play!
ReplyDeleteFor me Thursdays or Tuesdays (Thursdays would be best). but like I said in an earlier post, becuase of the distance for me I'd probably only make it two to three times a month on average.
